Treating Brain Lesions in the Age of Linac Radiosurgery

Rush Radiosurgery recently had an article published in Radiosurgery Today, the annual magazine published by Alliance Oncology, the nationwide leader in radiation oncology and radiosurgery programs.

The article, titled “Treating Brain Lesions in the Age of Linac Radiosurgery,” is about how advances in linear accelerator technology, including 3-D imaging, high dose delivery rates and high definition multileaf collimation, have made it possible to offer patients highly conformal stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) treatments for brain lesions, even several at a time, quickly and efficiently.

The article discusses how Rush Radiosurgery, outfitted with the TrueBeam™ STx system from Varian Medical Systems, is on the forefront of linac-based radiosurgery, and Rush Radiosurgery’s Medical Director, Dr. Aidnag Diaz, was quoted in the article.
