Named for Saturday Night Live alumna Gilda Radner, the worldwide cancer support community provides support groups, counseling, education and healthy lifestyle programs for cancer patients and their families in the hope that no one has to face cancer alone.
The Chicago chapter celebrated 15 years of cancer support in winter 2012. Gilda’s Club Chicago has continuously offered more than 300 free activities each month for cancer patients and their loved ones, including events at Rush Radiosurgery’s hospital partner, Rush University Medical Center. Rush partners with Gilda’s Club Chicago to offer a number of support groups and relaxation activities such as chair yoga, T’ai Chi Chih and meditation.
