Brain Awareness Week: How TrueBeam STx Targets Brain Tumors

This week our center is celebrating Brain Awareness Week! The worldwide celebration launched by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives, aims to bring together researchers, physicians and community members to advocate for research funding and ongoing education. Nationwide events include brain lectures, classroom workshops and online campaigns.

As proponents of ongoing clinical research for treatment to eliminate brain tumors, our hospital partner, physicians and staff members aim to offer as much information as possible to those diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Rush Radiosurgery treats brain tumors with a procedure called stereotactic radiosurgery using TrueBeam STx® technology. The procedure targets cancerous and noncancerous brain tumors noninvasively using precisely focused radiation beams.
